60 TON · 3 AXLE FLATBED SEMI TRAILER

60 Ton 3 Axle Flatbed Semi Trailer

Carry shipping containers or use the full open deck for steel, pipe, machinery, construction materials and other general cargo. Container locks secure container loads, while the unobstructed platform keeps non-container cargo accessible from the sides and above.

The trailer has a 12,500 mm overall length and a 2,490 mm platform width. Its three-axle mechanical suspension supports heavy transport work, and the open deck allows loading by crane or forklift to suit the cargo.

CARGO USE

What Can This 60 Ton Flatbed Carry?

The same open platform works for container transport and general cargo. What changes from one job to the next is how the load is positioned, supported and secured.

Shipping Containers

Container locks provide fixed securing points on the deck. Send the container type and size with the enquiry so the lock positions match the containers used in your operation.

  • Fixed deck connection points
  • Clear access for loading and unloading
  • Container layout confirmed before production

General Flatbed Cargo

The open deck also carries steel beams, pipe bundles, machinery, construction materials and packaged equipment. Cargo remains accessible from the sides and above for crane or forklift loading.

  • No fixed side walls around the platform
  • Suitable for long, wide or irregular loads
  • Tie-down plan matched to the cargo
BEFORE WE QUOTE

Tell us what the trailer will carry

  1. Cargo type Container, steel, pipe, machinery or mixed loads
  2. Size and weight Overall dimensions, total weight and support points
  3. Loading method Crane, forklift or another site arrangement
  4. Operating details Tractor model, destination and expected route conditions

A 60-ton load still needs the correct position on the deck. Cargo placement changes how much weight is carried by the tractor and the three-axle group.

SIZE & RUNNING GEAR

ORDER CHECK

Four details to confirm before production

01

Cargo footprint

Length, width, height, overhang and the points that bear on the deck.

02

Tractor connection

Tractor model and fifth-wheel height for the correct coupling setup.

03

Container work

Container type, size and the lock positions used in daily operation.

04

Destination limits

Local axle-load, vehicle-size and route requirements for the order.

These dimensions belong to this 60-ton configuration. Final dimensions and container-lock positions are confirmed with the cargo and tractor details before production.

CHASSIS & EQUIPMENT

How Is This 60 Ton Flatbed Equipped?

The running gear and service equipment sit below the platform, leaving the deck clear for containers and general cargo. Component brands, ratings and quantities are listed separately in the quotation.

Mechanical leaf-spring suspension beneath the three-axle flatbed trailer 01

Mechanical Suspension

Leaf springs and equalizer hardware link the three axles. Axle and suspension ratings are selected for the required load and route.

Three-axle wheel group on the yellow 60 ton flatbed semi trailer 02

Three-Axle Wheel Group

The axles are spaced at 1,310 + 1,310 mm. Tyre size, wheel quantity and preferred component makes should be confirmed with the order.

Toolbox side guard and landing leg beneath the flatbed deck 03

Toolbox and Side Guard

The toolbox keeps service items below the deck. The side guard runs between the landing legs and axle group without using platform space.

Rear lamps reflectors mudguards and underride structure on the flatbed trailer 04

Rear Road Equipment

The rear assembly combines lamps, reflectors, mudguards and an underride structure. The final setup is specified for the destination.

UNDER-DECK DETAILS Equipment on this configuration
  • Spare-wheel carrier
  • Fire-extinguisher cabinet
  • Landing legs
  • Side protection

Tell us which axle, tyre and suspension brands your workshop already services. We can list compatible choices in the quotation for you to review.

LOAD PLANNING

What Load Information Is Needed Before Production?

Total weight is only the first number. A machine on a short base and a long steel bundle can weigh the same, but they press on different parts of the deck.

60 TON LOAD PATH Mark where the cargo meets the deck
Moving the cargo forward or backward changes the weight carried by the tractor and trailer axles. Send the real support positions with the enquiry.
01

Cargo size

Give the overall length, width and height. Mark any overhang or section that cannot bear against another part of the load.

02

Weight and centre of gravity

State the total transport weight and the centre of gravity. For several pieces, list the weight of each item.

03

Support points

Mark every base, timber block or contact point that carries weight. Include the distance between supports.

04

Loading and restraint

Explain how the cargo will be lifted and unloaded. Add the planned dunnage, chains, straps or other restraint points.

WHAT TO SEND

A marked cargo sketch, the tractor model, destination and quantity give us enough information to prepare a useful first proposal.

ORDER CONFIGURATION

Which Details Should Be Confirmed on the Order?

A 60-ton rating and three axles do not complete the specification. The trailer still needs to match the cargo, tractor, local service network and destination requirements.

01

Cargo and Deck

Start with the load, then set up the platform around it.

  • Cargo support spacing and point loads
  • Container type and lock positions
  • Dunnage and tie-down locations
02

Tractor Connection

The front of the trailer must work with the assigned tractor.

  • Kingpin position
  • Fifth-wheel and coupling height
  • Air and electrical connections
03

Running Gear

Choose parts that can carry the load and be serviced locally.

  • Axle and suspension ratings
  • Tyre size and wheel quantity
  • Preferred component brands
04

Road Equipment

Connections and road equipment vary between destinations.

  • Braking and electrical specification
  • Lamps and reflective markings
  • Rear and side protective equipment

ONE QUOTATION SHOULD STATE
  • Payload, tare weight and gross vehicle weight
  • Main dimensions and axle spacing
  • Component brand, rating and quantity
  • Included equipment and requested changes
  • Destination-specific connections and road equipment

Send the cargo details, tractor model, destination and preferred component brands. We will list the proposed specification item by item for review.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Questions Buyers Ask Before Ordering

Confirm the cargo, tractor and route together. These answers cover the current 60-ton, three-axle configuration and the details needed for an accurate quotation.

Does 60 tons refer to payload or total vehicle weight?

On this page, 60 tons is the rated payload for this trailer configuration. It is not the trailer tare weight or the gross combination weight. The quotation should list payload, tare weight and gross vehicle weight separately. The permitted on-road load still depends on the tractor, cargo position and local axle-load limits.

Can it carry both containers and general cargo?

Yes. Container locks hold shipping containers, while the open platform can carry steel, pipe, machinery, construction materials and packaged cargo. Send the container size or the cargo dimensions, weight and support points so the deck arrangement can be checked.

Does every three-axle flatbed carry 60 tons?

No. Axle count alone does not determine payload. The frame, deck supports, axles, suspension, tyres, brakes, kingpin load, tractor and route all have to match the job. Ask for the full configuration instead of comparing trailers by axle count only.

Are the 12,500 mm length and 2,500 mm width fixed?

They are the overall dimensions of this configuration. The platform width is 2,490 mm and the overall width is 2,500 mm including the outer edging. If your cargo needs a different deck length, lock position or support layout, provide those details before quotation so feasibility can be checked.

What suspension does this trailer use?

This configuration uses mechanical leaf-spring suspension. The quotation should also identify the axle, tyre and brake specifications so you can review the complete running gear.

What information do you need for a quotation?

Send the cargo or container type, dimensions, total weight, centre of gravity or support points, loading method, tractor model, fifth-wheel height, destination, quantity and any preferred component brands. A marked cargo sketch is useful when the load is irregular.
