FRONT-LOADING CONFIGURATION

Why Use 40Ton Gooseneck Lowbed?

Hydraulic folding gooseneck on a blue two-axle lowbed trailer
01

Extended Neck Design

The extended neck design facilitates connection to a trailer.

Check the machine ground clearance and approach before the neck geometry is approved.

02

Long, Wide Loading Platform

15.9 m transport length and a 3.5 m overall width. The open platform leaves room for machinery with a long or wide footprint.

Final deck space and permitted transport width depend on the machine and route.

03

Timber Deck Contact Areas

Timber inserts are visible along the loading deck. They provide a contact surface for machine tracks, tyres or support points.

Timber dimensions and fastening details follow the final production specification.

04

Tie-Down Points Along the Deck

Side fittings provide several positions for chains or other approved restraints around the machine.

Tie-down ratings and restraint positions must follow the final machine load plan.
BEFORE QUOTATION Match the Folding-Neck Layout to the Machine

Send the machine dimensions, working weight, ground clearance and track or tyre width. Include the tractor model and destination.

FIXED-GOOSENECK LAYOUT

How is this fixed gooseneck low flatbed trailer layout made?

The gooseneck remains part of the trailer frame. Behind it, the main deck drops to form a lower loading area for machinery and other equipment.

MAIN LAYOUT

A Fixed Neck with a Low Main Deck

01

Fixed Gooseneck

The neck stays connected to the trailer during loading and transport.

02

Low Main Deck

The dropped deck provides the main loading area between the neck and rear running gear.

03

Two-Axle Running Gear

Two axle positions form the rear running group on this configuration.

04

Timber Deck and Tie-Downs

Timber inserts cover the contact areas, with tie-down fittings arranged along both sides of the deck.

LOADING METHOD

Front Loading Is Not Part of This Design

The fixed neck stays in place. Equipment can use a suitable rear ramp system or be lifted onto the deck, depending on the machine and the loading site.

02 Loading Space Room for the selected loading method
03 Cargo Securing Tie-down positions for the machine

LOWBED BUYER QUESTIONS

FAQ

Common questions about fixed-gooseneck loading, machine fit, concentrated deck loads, tractor compatibility and the documents needed before ordering this two-axle lowbed.

BEFORE ORDERING Machine weight alone is not enough. The loading method, contact footprint, center of gravity, tractor geometry and route should be reviewed together.
Does the fixed gooseneck detach for loading?

No. On this configuration, the gooseneck remains a permanent structural connection to the main trailer. Machinery must reach the loading platform through the approved rear-loading, lifting or assisted-loading method.

How can machinery be loaded if the neck does not come off?

Possible methods include fixed rear ramps, hydraulic ramps, portable ramps, winch assistance or crane handling. The correct method depends on machine mobility, ground clearance, approach angle, available site space and loading frequency. The supplied product photos do not confirm that ramps are included.

What equipment can a two-axle fixed-neck lowbed carry?

Axle count alone cannot determine suitability. The machine's transport weight, dimensions, contact footprint, center of gravity, deck position, approved concentrated-load rating and legal load distribution all need to be reviewed together.

Why should concentrated-load capacity be confirmed separately?

The same total machine weight can affect the deck very differently depending on where it is applied. A load spread over a long track area is not the same as a load concentrated over a short tyre, skid or outrigger zone. The quotation should therefore state the rating basis and the deck length over which it applies.

How should the correct lowbed deck height be selected?

Start with the machine's transport height and route clearance. Then review ground clearance, loading-ramp angle, rear transition, tractor coupling height and breakover risk. The lowest possible deck is not automatically the best choice for every road or site.

What tractor information is needed before the drawing is approved?

Provide fifth-wheel height, kingpin requirements, tractor wheelbase, rear-of-cab clearance, air and electrical connections, permitted fifth-wheel load and any chassis equipment that could interfere with the fixed gooseneck.

Which documents should accompany an accurate quotation?

Request a general arrangement drawing, load-rating basis, component schedule, loading-method description, restraint layout and a list of destination-specific documents. These documents should refer to the same approved drawing revision.
