PRODUCTION PROCESS

5-Axle Curtain Side Trailer Production Process

The build starts with steel cutting and chassis fabrication. The floor, running gear and curtain body follow, bringing the trailer together in nine main stages.

  1. Layout Design

Set out the chassis, five axle positions and curtain body for the 16.5 m trailer.

  2. Steel Cutting

Cut the steel plates and sections for the main beams, crossmembers and frame.

  3. Main Beam Fabrication

Assemble the cut steel sections into the two main longitudinal beams.

  4. Frame Assembly

Position the main beams, crossmembers and side members to form the chassis.

  5. Frame Welding

Weld the frame joints to connect the main beams and supporting members.

  6. Floor Fabrication

Prepare and fit the floor sections over the supporting frame.

  7. Grinding and Surface Preparation

Grind weld areas and remove sharp edges before the surface finish is applied.

  8. Axle and Component Installation

Fit the five-axle running gear and install the brake lines and other chassis components.

  9. Final Body Assembly

Fit the sideboards, body posts, rear doors and curtains to complete the curtain side semi-trailer.

BUYER QUESTIONS

FAQ

Answers to common questions about the three-axle detachable gooseneck trailer, configuration review and quotation requirements.

What is a three-axle detachable gooseneck trailer?

It is a lowbed semi-trailer with three axles and a gooseneck designed to detach or separate according to the approved mechanism. The final operating method depends on the supplied hydraulic or mechanical system.

What equipment can it transport?

It may be configured for excavators, construction machinery and other heavy equipment when the cargo dimensions, weight distribution, loading method and route are suitable. Confirm the equipment data before ordering.

What information is needed for a quote?

Send the equipment model, operating weight, length, width, height, track spacing, centre of gravity if available, loading method, tractor details, destination and expected quantity.

What payload can the three-axle trailer carry?

The payload must be confirmed for the actual frame, axle, suspension, braking, cargo distribution and route. Request the approved quotation and engineering drawing instead of relying on a general rating.

Is the gooseneck hydraulic or mechanical?

Confirm the mechanism in the three-axle quotation and drawing. The operating flow, controls, locking points and safety checks must match the actual supplied system.

Can the trailer be customized?

The proposed scope can include the deck, gooseneck, axles, suspension, tyres, braking, electrical system, cargo securing and identification items. Each option remains subject to engineering review and quotation confirmation.

How are the final specifications confirmed?

The technical scope should be checked against the approved quotation and engineering drawing before production. Any change should be recorded in the final project documents.
