WHY THIS CONFIGURATION

Why This 100 Ton Four-Axle Lowbed Uses a Detachable Gooseneck

The detachable neck is mainly about loading. It gives the machine a front entry onto the low deck, while the deck size and four-axle group are matched to the equipment, tractor and route.

01

Load Heavy Equipment from the Front

The gooseneck separates from the main deck for front loading. Excavators and other tracked machines can approach the low platform without travelling over the rear axle area.

02

Plan the Load Across Four Axles

The four-axle group provides more positions for distributing trailer and cargo weight. The final axle loads depend on the machine weight, centre of gravity, deck position and kingpin load.

Use the Deck Space for a Larger Machine

This configuration has an 8,860 mm main deck and a 3,500 mm overall width. Check the machine footprint, transport height and permitted route width before ordering.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ

Find practical answers about the four-axle detachable gooseneck trailer, payload review, loading method and configuration requirements.

What cargo is a four-axle detachable gooseneck trailer designed for? +

This four-axle configuration is designed for heavy, self-propelled machinery from 100 t — large tracked excavators, mining equipment, bulldozers, graders and other construction or industrial machines that can drive under their own power.

It is also used for non-self-propelled oversized cargo where axle-load limits rule out a three-axle layout. The right fit depends on the machine's operating weight, overall dimensions, track width and loading method.

When should I choose a four-axle RGN over a three-axle configuration? +

A four-axle layout is typically chosen when the cargo weight pushes per-axle load beyond the limits of a three-axle arrangement on the destination route, or when the cargo is large enough that a longer wheelbase provides better deck stability.

If your cargo weight, route axle-load limits or equipment dimensions place a three-axle layout under pressure, send the details for a four-axle configuration review.

What is the rated payload for this four-axle trailer? +

The design payload starts from 100 t. The actual permitted payload for your specific cargo and route depends on the destination axle-load regulations and the confirmed axle spacing from the approved drawing.

Four BPW 18T axles are fitted as standard. Send your cargo weight, destination country and known route conditions to receive a configuration proposal with a defined payload scope.

What gooseneck detachment system is fitted, and how is it operated? +

A hydraulic detachment system is fitted, powered by a Changchai 13.5 kW single-cylinder unit using ISO 68 hydraulic oil.

A remote control is included as standard, allowing the operator to manage gooseneck release and reconnection from a safe working distance. The full operating procedure is supplied with the trailer.

What axles and suspension are fitted as standard? +

Four BPW 18T widened axles are fitted as standard with export English-standard marking. Axle spacing is 1,310 / 1,310 / 1,310 mm across the rear three axles.

The suspension is a mechanical inverted leaf-spring system with 120 × 160 × 10-leaf packs, 6 assemblies and wide-type reinforcement. Air suspension is available as an option subject to engineering confirmation.

What are the working platform dimensions? +

Working platform length: 12,680 mm.

Working platform width: 3,500 mm. Outer trailer width: 4,300 mm. Loading platform height: 900 mm, with no pre-camber. Gooseneck height: 1,550 mm.

These values are from the approved engineering drawing and are subject to the actual product produced. Confirm final dimensions from the drawing before production begins.

What braking system is fitted? Is ABS available? +

Air brake is standard with 8 FUWA dual-diaphragm chambers and a WABCO valve. The system is configured for the tractor interface and destination market.

ABS is not standard on this configuration but is available as an option. Confirm the required ABS standard and brake-system interface for your destination market and tractor at the quotation stage.

Product parameters, payload suitability and route compliance must be confirmed in the approved quotation and engineering drawing.
