3-Axle Lowbed Trailer Shipment to Tanzania

CHENLU has prepared a red three-axle lowbed semi-trailer for shipment to Tanzania. The trailer combines a fixed gooseneck, a lowered main deck and twin rear loading ramps, giving wheeled and tracked machinery access to the deck from the rear.

Fixed gooseneck and twin rear ramps

Equipment climbs the rear ramps, passes over the axle section and moves onto the lower main deck. The gooseneck remains connected to the trailer throughout loading, and the two ramps fold upright for transport.

With this layout, deck space is only part of the fit. A machine’s wheelbase or track contact length, ground clearance and low-mounted attachments also affect its passage over the ramp-to-deck transition. The lower main deck then helps control the overall transport height of the loaded machine.

Three-axle running gear with leaf springs

The rear axle group uses mechanical leaf-spring suspension. Steel spring packs support the chassis, with air-brake chambers and routed air lines beneath the frame.

For machinery transport, load position matters as well as total weight. Moving a machine along the deck changes the share of weight carried by the trailer axles and the tractor’s fifth wheel. Machine weight, support positions and centre of gravity therefore need to be considered together when determining the loading position.

Deck lashing points and chassis fittings

Lashing rings along the deck edge provide attachment points for cargo-restraint chains. Their positions allow restraints to be arranged around the machine’s own securing points.

The chassis also carries a side-mounted toolbox, side guards and reflective markings. Two landing legs support the front of the trailer when it is uncoupled from the tractor.
