Custom 60-Tonne Three-Axle Side-Tipping Semi-Trailer for Ghana

CHENLU has completed a red three-axle side-tipping semi-trailer for a customer in Ghana. The customer specified a 60-tonne design load and a side-discharge body. The finished trailer is now being prepared for shipment.

The long cargo body is divided into several side-panel sections, with individual hinges and locking points along the lower edge. Three axles are grouped at the rear, while the hydraulic controls are mounted beneath the body for operation from ground level.

Side discharge for the Ghana order

Unlike a fixed flatbed, this trailer uses a body that tips to the side during unloading. The layout changes how the vehicle is positioned at the discharge point: the operator needs clear space beside the trailer, firm ground and a planned tipping direction.

The segmented side panels run almost the full length of the body. Their hinges and latches are visible from the outside, giving the customer direct access to the sections that need to be checked before loading and unloading.

A 60-tonne design matched to the route

The 60-tonne figure is the design load agreed for this custom build. Final operating weight in Ghana still depends on the tractor, trailer tare weight, axle limits, route and any permit conditions. These points need to be checked together before the production drawing is confirmed.

Hydraulic controls ready for the customer

The hydraulic control bank has separate hand levers and connected hoses mounted beneath the body. The adjacent underbody area also shows the landing gear, frame members and fittings that remain accessible for routine checks.
