Custom 4-Axle Detachable Gooseneck Trailer for Burkina Faso

CHENLU has built a custom four-axle detachable gooseneck trailer for shipment to a customer in Burkina Faso. The order called for a wider working platform and a load capacity of up to 100 tonnes.

The finished trailer has a 3.5 m working platform. The photos below show the actual trailer at our factory, including the deck, four-axle rear section and detachable gooseneck.

A working platform widened to 3.5 m

The main change for this order was the working platform width. At 3.5 m, the deck gives the customer more lateral space for equipment placement. The dimension is marked directly on the photo, so buyers can see which part of the trailer was widened.

For a similar order, equipment width is only the starting point. Track or wheel spacing, transport length and weight also need to be checked against the proposed deck layout.

Four axles and capacity up to 100 tonnes

This trailer has four rear axles and a specified load capacity of up to 100 tonnes. For each job, the load position and footprint need to be checked alongside the tractor combination and route requirements.

Detachable gooseneck for front loading

The removable front gooseneck gives access to the low deck for front loading. This arrangement allows suitable self-propelled equipment to approach the deck from the front, rather than travel over the rear axle section.

Loading needs a suitable site and a plan for securing the machine. The UK HSE’s general loading and unloading guidance explains the importance of firm, level ground, load distribution and restraint.
