DRY BULK TANKER

6 Axle Powder Tanker Semi Trailer

This six-axle powder tanker is built for bulk cement, fly ash and lime powder. Two axles sit toward the front of the tank, with four more at the rear.

An engine and compressor are mounted at the front for pneumatic discharge. The tank has a top walkway and rear ladder; pipework and hose connections run below it. The final loading and discharge setup depends on the powder and the receiving silo.

How Are the Six Axles and Suspension Arranged?

Side profile of the powder tanker showing two forward axles and four rear axles separated along the chassis

AXLE POSITION

Two axles forward, four at the rear

The first pair sits just behind the landing legs, while four axles support the rear of the tank. The gap between these groups is part of the chassis layout and matters when checking axle loads for a proposed cargo.

SUSPENSION DETAIL

Air suspension on this build

Air bellows sit above the axle beams, with suspension arms and brake chambers below the frame. The discharge compressor is mounted at the tank front; it is not part of the axle suspension.

UNLOADING EQUIPMENT

How Is This Powder Tanker Trailer Equipped for Pneumatic Discharge?

AIR SUPPLY

Engine and compressor at the front

The engine and compressor sit together on a platform ahead of the tank. Their pipe connections are mounted outside the tank shell. This package supplies air to the tank for powder unloading.

DISCHARGE LINE

Pipework and hose at the rear

A rigid pipe runs along the lower side of the tank. The flexible blue hose is secured across the rear frame below the ladder. Its coupling needs to match the receiving line at the silo.

REFERENCE OUTLINE

6 Axle Powder Tanker Dimensions and Drawing

The available 45 m³ bulk-cement tanker outline shows the tank, axle positions and tractor connection. Use these dimensions as a starting point; the final contract drawing sets the build.

Tank volume45 m³
Overall length13,500 mm
Overall width2,500 mm
Kingpin height1,350 mm

Overall height needs confirmation: the outline note says 3,860 mm, while the end view marks 4,000 mm.

FAQ

6 Axle Powder Tanker Trailer FAQ

Can it carry both cement and fly ash?

Yes. The reference outline lists bulk cement, fly ash and lime powder. Other powders need a separate check of material density and discharge requirements.

Does 45 m³ mean a 45-tonne payload?

No. The 45 m³ figure is tank volume on the reference outline, not a weight rating. Cargo weight depends on the powder, trailer tare and permitted axle loads.

Does this build have air suspension?

Yes. The suspension close-up shows air bellows. Two axles sit toward the front of the tank and four at the rear; axle ratings are set on the final specification.

Is the discharge compressor carried on the trailer?

Yes. The photos show an engine and compressor assembly on the front platform, with discharge pipework and a hose at the rear. No compressor output or unloading rate is stated here.

Will the hose connect to an existing silo?

The outline does not specify a hose diameter or coupling size. Match the outlet to the receiving inlet and pipe run before the final discharge layout is approved.

Are the outline dimensions final?

No. The sheet is marked for reference. It lists 13,500 mm length, 2,500 mm width and 1,350 mm kingpin height, but its two height callouts differ. Use the final contract drawing for tractor and route checks.
