4-Axle Dump Semi-Trailer Shipment to Ethiopia

CHENLU has built a white four-axle dump semi-trailer for shipment to Ethiopia. The rear tipper combines a high-sided cargo body, external reinforcing ribs and a front-mounted hydraulic lifting cylinder.

This is a rear-discharge configuration for loose bulk cargo. The body carries the material during transport, then tips backwards to discharge through the tailgate.

High-sided body with external reinforcement

The cargo body has tall side panels, vertical reinforcing ribs and a continuous upper rail. The ribs stiffen the panels against the outward pressure of loose material, while the open top provides access for loading.

Body volume and cargo weight still need to be considered separately. A body carrying coal and the same body carrying dense aggregate can reach its weight limit at very different fill levels. CHENLU’s guide to dump trailer volume and payload explains this relationship.

Front-mounted cylinder for rear discharge

The lifting cylinder is positioned ahead of the cargo compartment. As it extends, it raises the front of the body around the rear hinge. This creates the slope that moves material towards the tailgate.

The cylinder, body and hydraulic supply work as a system. Material that flows freely and material that clings to the body do not discharge in the same way, so cargo characteristics matter when specifying the tipping equipment.

Four-axle chassis and service fittings

Four axle positions support the rear of the loaded trailer. The front load passes through the kingpin to the tractor’s fifth wheel. The tractor and trailer therefore need to be matched as a complete combination.

The white chassis also carries a side-mounted toolbox and two landing legs. The toolbox provides storage outside the cargo body, while the legs support the front of the uncoupled trailer.
